A How-to Manual Guide to developing websites

This Development Guide serves as a how-to manual for the development team and a checklist for the quality assurance people.  The objective is to make sure that websites produced by the team have consistent structure, consistent operations, consistent look and feel, and consistent high quality standard that customers would expect from our Accsoft/OnMyWeb brand.

This Development Guide does not cover the artwork design of the website.  However, every BEE Portal website is generally expected to have

  • a logo (that clicks to the home page)
  • a website title (optional; clicks into the home page)
  • navigation menus
  • the page heading (for owner to identify the page when entering contents)
  • at least one TEA (Text Edit Area - for the owner to enter contents)
  • a login form (optional - without which one can still login from the admin site)
  • an admin menu
  • a visitor counter (if required)
  • a shopping cart (if required)

Where these constructs are located is subject to the design and is not discussed in this Development Guide.
